What does dental physiotherapy include ?
- Diagnosis and therapy of disorders of the temporomandibular joint – such as jumping of the jaw, restriction of mobility, crackles, pain.
- Treatment of tension headaches and migraines – especially if they have a musculo-fascial basis.
- Therapy of bruxism (teeth grinding) – reduction of muscle tension and education on habits.
- Rehabilitation after orthodontic, surgical or prosthetic procedures.
- Functional exercises of the mandible, tongue, neck muscles – for example, in problems with speaking, swallowing.
- Working with scars in the face/neck area – e.g., after surgeries, injuries
