My name is Andreas Koufas. Although my last name indicates Greek roots, I have lived in Poland since I was six years old and received my medical education here. In 2018, I graduated with honors from the First Faculty of Medicine at the Medical University of Warsaw, and since the beginning of my orthopedic practice, I have been affiliated with the Praski Hospital of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Warsaw. In March 2025, I passed the State Specialty Examination with one of the best results in the country.
I specialize in conservative and surgical treatment of diseases and injuries of the musculoskeletal system, especially in the field of knee and hip endoprosthesis – including minimally invasive methods. My daily practice includes ultrasound examinations of joints, muscles and ligaments, as well as ultrasound-guided blocks and delivery injections using platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and hyaluronic acid.
My priority is to make an accurate diagnosis and adapt the treatment method to current medical standards. If a patient requires a procedure beyond the scope of my daily practice, I am always available to help find an experienced specialist. I am constantly improving my qualifications by participating in trainings, courses and internships at home and abroad to provide patients with the most modern and effective forms of treatment.
